Announcing the Honors Contract Competition!
Students completing honors contract projects in Spring 2016 and Fall 2016 are invited to submit their final projects for the competition, by 4:00 pm, Friday, February 3, 2017.
The projects will go through a blind review process, conducted by a committee of the Honors Student Council, in collaboration with Professors Berglund and Wilstermann. The committee's criteria will be: creativity or originality of the student project, depth of learning that the student gained beyond the course, and quality of presentation in the submitted materials. Based on the committee's judgement, students who submitted winning projects will receive an award of $100.
In recognition of the work that faculty members put into steering contract projects, the professors whose students win awards will also receive an honorarium of $50.
To submit your project, download the two-page Contract Competition Form below and complete the requested information. Using the link below, send an e-mail to Admin. Asst. Manda Mosoiu that includes your full name, e-mail address, and the name of your professor in the message body, and 'Contract Competition' in the subject line. Attach two separate documents to that e-mail: the completed Competition Form and your contract project, saved as a PDF. Before submitting your contract project, be sure to remove your name and any other identifying information from the project. Your name should only be placed on the Competition Form and the e-mail. Your professor can send in his/her mentor endorsement directly to firstname.lastname@example.org. The judges will review the projects without knowledge of who submitted them.
Please email to Manda at email@example.com.
NOTE: Make sure to attach your pdf to the e-mail that you send.
For further information, contact Prof. Berglund (brb6) or Prof. Wilstermann (amw26).
