To make an appointment

Please call 616-526-6187 to schedule an appointment with one of our providers. Most appointments can be made within 1-3 days, as needed. We encourage you to call early in the day for a better chance at getting an appointment that works best with your schedule.

Are you feeling sick, but not sure if you need to be seen? Give our triage nurse a call at 616-526-6187, menu option 2. She will ask you some questions over the phone and give you guidance on what to do next.

CHECK-IN EARLY: Please arrive at your appointment 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time. This gives us time to update your demographics, fill out your health history, and get your appointment started on time. Be sure to bring your insurance card.

WALK-INS: We want to accommodate you, but in order to provide the best service, our patients are scheduled by appointment. If you are near the Health Center, and want to walk-in, we are happy to help you schedule an appointment based on urgency and availability.

CANCELLATIONS: If you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please call and let us know as soon as possible so that we may open the appointment for another student with medical needs. Each time a patient misses an appointment without providing proper notice, another patient is prevented from receiving care. Therefore, Calvin College Health Services reserves the right to charge a fee of $25 for all missed appointments (‘no shows’). ‘No Show’ fees will be billed to the patient’s miscellaneous account. This fee is not covered by insurance.
