Two special discussion sessions focused on students will be included as part of the 2018 Kuyper Conference at Calvin College and Seminary, Monday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 1. These small, focused sessions will involve advance reading of primary source texts (ca. 60-80 pages) and group discussion at the Conference, facilitated by leading faculty.
Students who commit to do the advance reading, attend the conference, and participate in the discussion session will receive complimentary volumes (Our Program and Makers of Modern Christian Social Thought) as well as complimentary registration for the conference. Two sessions are planned:
- Kuyper and Politics
- Kuyper, Justice and Poverty
Readings will include selections from Kuyper’s Lectures on Calvinism, Our Program, and The Social Question and the Christian Religion.
Participation is limited to 15 students per session and individuals will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Undergraduate as well as graduate students are welcome. Your application for participation can be made via an email indicating which session (politics OR economics), you would like to participate in to:
