If ever a band relied on precision, OK Go does.

This band out of California knows how to do music videos that capture an audience’s attention like no other using physics and engineering to coordinate timing and sounds. Just browsing their YouTube channel, a viewer can find all sorts of amazing performances that show their dedication to doing what others will not.

There are the classics that most of us have seen, such as the treadmills they used in the “Here it Goes Again”, but others require the same level of skill and planning if not more. The video for their song “Needing/Getting” involves a car that is rigged so it triggers certain instruments or hits other objects at just the right moment to create the accompaniment to what the driver is singing.

Another example is “This Too Shall Pass”, which uses a Rube Goldberg machine to set off a chain reaction. Even “The Writings on the Wall” is a feat of science and optical illusions. There are few others who will attempt what they do for the sake of their music and creativity. They require time, effort, and extensive planning to come off as seamlessly as they do.
