Professional experience
Jeanette is responsible for the day to day management of the Ecosystem Preserve & Bunker Interpretive Center. She oversees all aspects of the education and outreach programs here, including developing interpretive curriculum, displays and programs, hiring and training Calvin students in environmental education/interpretation techniques, and teaching programs for ages Pre-K through adult. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with academic departments across the college, and building and maintaining partnerships with other environmental community partners.
Jeanette's previous work experience includes working at the state level for Michigan Audubon directing and coordinating programs, as a summer naturalist for Michigan State Parks, and as a marine educator for the University of Georgia's Marine Education Center and Aquarium in Savannah, Georgia.
