Native Plant Sale 2022

  • Calvin Ecosystem Preserve and Native Gardens

Calvin’s Ecosystem Preserve and Native Gardens would like to invite you to attend our annual Native Plant Sale!

Each year we collect native plant seeds and propagate them in our greenhouses. We choose to grow native species because of their close ties with our local ecosystems. Native species provide food for birds and pollinators, shelter for critters, and many of our native plant species grow deep roots which are able to filter storm water and surface runoff. Because these plants are native to our region, these plants thrive in our local ecosystems allowing for a low maintenance option for beautiful gardens.

This year we are proud to be able to provide a great variety of over 100 species of wild flowers, grasses, sedges, and shrubs to our customers.

The sale will take place from 9:00AM-4:00PM on May 14th at the Calvin University Bunker Interpretive Center at 1750 E Beltline Ave SE, East Grand Rapids, MI. You may browse and shop our wide variety of native plant species at our online store on the date of the sale by visiting our website at https://calvin.edu/ecosystem-preserve/programs-events/native-plant-sale/

We hope to see you there!
