Father Brown, Master Arts Theatre, dinner and a play. All are welcome to join members of the Calvin Academy for Lifelong Learning for an entertaining evening of Father Brown. For those who have enjoyed the PBS series of a British eponymous crime-solving Roman Catholic priest, this is a perfect evening for you!

Master Arts Theatre is presenting the Michigan Premiere of Father Brown, a comedy-drama about the adventures of a crime-solving priest. Written by Patrick Rieger and based on Chesterton’s “Father Brown” short stories. London is once again confounded by the notorious thief, Flambeau, whilst Scotland Yard’s most celebrated detective unexpectedly teams up with an unassuming priest, Father Brown, in the hopes of finally catching him.

Dinner will be served at 5:30 in the Calvin Commons Annex Board Room. (Across the parking lot from the Covenant Fine Arts Center.)

The meal features rosemary roasted pork loin, topped with a Gorgonzola cream sauce and served with Parmesan mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables, salad, rolls and dessert. The vegetarian option is quinoa medallion, comprised of grilled pineapple, beet and quinoa medallion served with the vegetable of the day and greens.

During the dinner, we will be treated to a short lecture by a representative from the Master Arts Theatre who will tell us a bit about the play and some "behind-the-scenes" production information. Guests can choose from regular, vegetarian, and gluten-free meal options.

Following the dinner and the presentation, guests will drive on their own to the Master Arts Theatre for the play presentation at 7:30 pm. That address is: 75 77th St SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49548 (near the intersection of Division and 76th St SE, and close to Pine Rest.)
