Stop by the parent hospitality tent to get refreshments, Calvin parent car stickers and other freebies; meet the parent relations team; and rest for a few minutes while your student is handling One Stop tasks.

One Stop (Spoelhof Center)

We're making it quick and simple for students and parents to connect with campus services! Please enter from the Chapel Patio.

  • Campus Safety – register bicycles and vehicles (permits still need to be picked up at the campus safety office)
  • Career Center  verify work-study for off-campus opportunities, identify on-campus job openings, sign up for new hire orientation, sign Calvin LifeWork agreement
  • Center for Counseling and Wellness – schedule CCW screenings, obtain info about wellness services, pick up free stress balls
  • Center for Student Success
    • Registrar: questions about fall course schedules, AP, transfer credit, honors program
    • Student Success: questions about tutoring, academic coaching and accommodations for disabilities 
  • Financial Aid Loan Lab  assistance with electronic loan acceptance, entrance counseling, and signing the Master Promissory Note for federal student loans
  • Financial Services
  • Health Services  verify completion of vaccine requirements, talk to the dietitian about food sensitivities, set up intro appointments
  • Information Technology  assistance setting up wireless on your devices, password help
  • Registrar  questions about class schedules
  • Residence Life  ID photos, meal plan changes

Family members can pay at the door for breakfast ($3) and lunch ($5) at Commons or Knollcrest Dining Halls. Cash or check only.

Take this opportunity to meet campus leaders at a root beer float reception! (Students will be at the Connect: Meet Your Major session at this time.)

Convocation

4:30–5:45 p.m.
Van Noord Arena, Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex

President Le Roy will give the address, “While You Walk Along,” and each new student will receive a commemorative Calvin coin. Families welcome. Dress is casual. (Can't make it? Tune in to the web broadcast.)

Cookout

5:45–6:30 p.m.
Commons Lawn

Free for all family members. Families say farewell at 6:30 p.m. and students leave to join their Quest groups!
