GEO Seminar – Development Hydrogeology: Creating Water Supplies for Resource-Scarce Regions - Presented by Mr. Stuart Dykstra, Director of Programs, Clean Water Institute, Calvin University

Summary: Developing a sustainable water supply in Fragile-State countries requires a diverse team of investigators and development personnel. Project managers need to engage the community and governmental leaders alongside geologists, engineers, planners, and organizational and social experts. The hydrogeologic investigation requires an efficient and focused evaluation of the possible water resources and its possible sustainable use. After the resource is proven, the organizational management of the supply becomes equally important to the overall success of a project.
