The Swiss Reformation at 500

An H. Henry Meeter Center Event

On Friday September 13th and Saturday September 14th the Meeter Center will host “The Swiss Reformation at 500,” a conference commemorating the beginning of Huldrych Zwingli’s public ministry in Zurich in 1519.  Speakers will include: Dr. Bruce Gordon, Titus Street Professor of Ecclesiastical History at Yale Divinity School; Dr. Amy Nelson Burnett, Paula and D.B. Varner University Professor of History at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln; Dr. John Roth, Professor of History at Goshen College; Dr. Jordan Ballor, Senior Research Fellow and Director of Publishing at the Acton Institute; and Dr. Esther Chung-Kim, Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Claremont-McKenna College. A re-enactment of the 1523 Zurich Disputation is planned for September 13th, Friday evening.
