For good or ill, Calvinists have the reputation of focusing on how Christians should behave. We at the Nagel Institute want to do our part, so we have invited a Kenyan scholar with some perspectives on this front to give a talk.

For good or ill, Calvinists have the reputation of focusing on how Christians should behave. We at the Nagel Institute want to do our part, so we have invited a Kenyan scholar with some perspectives on this front to give a talk. Please come and hear Dr. Damaris Parsitau, professor of religion and head of gender studies at Egerton University. This year Dr. Parsitau is a visiting scholar at Harvard Divinity School, where she is teaching and doing research on issues of women’s sexuality within East African Pentecostal churches. Her lecture is “The Kingdom of Holy Women: Pentecostalism, Sex, and Women’s Bodies in an African Church.”
