We will gather online to celebrate our Class of 2020—the first to graduate from Calvin University!

Honoring graduates on May 23

In addition to holding a traditional ceremony in October, Calvin is hosting a Virtual Celebration for the Class of 2020.

The 30-minute celebratory event will include conferral of degrees, a conversation with Commencement speaker Bill Robinson, and brief remarks from faculty and staff and the student body president. Note: The reading of names and more formal remarks are being saved for an in-person ceremony on October 3, 2020.

Please join us starting at 1:45 p.m. EDT to hear messages of encouragement from the Calvin community to the Class of 2020.

Announcing plans for Commencement 2020

On April 22, in an effort to protect the health and safety of the community, Calvin University President Michael Le Roy announced the decision to postpone the university’s planned May 23 ceremony until Saturday, October 3, 2020. President Le Roy made the decision after consulting with eight student representatives, surveying the entire graduating class, and having conversations with members of Calvin’s parent council.
