The Henry Institute Series on Public and Non-Profit Leadership presents: William Byl, Kent County Drain Commissioner (retired). He will share his own professional journey about how he became involved with Public and Non-Profit entities. All are welcome to attend.

Careers in government service and the non-profit sector require specific leadership, theoretical, and technical skills which are critical to successful operations and implementing sound public policy. This series hosts individuals who have chosen a career in public and non-profit leadership as they consider the challenges and rewards of their work. This week's guest is William Byl.

Mr. Byl graduated from Calvin College in 1971 with a BS in Mathematics. In 2016 he ended his thirty year political career, which included eight years with the Kent County Board of Commissioners, six years in Lansing as representative for the 75th District, and three terms (10 years) as the Drain Commissioner.

All of the Henry Institute Series on Public and Non-Profit Leadership sessions are in DC170, from 10:30-11:20 am.This series is presented in conjunction with Political Science 209, Public and Non-Profit Administration.
