Join Perrin Rynders, from Varnum Law in Grand Rapids, MI, to consider ideas about how justice is done in the course of an attorney's daily work, even in the context of seemingly trivial or mundane matters. While Mr. Rynders has had some relatively exciting experiences (as he says, 'at least relatively exciting for a civil litigator'), a lawyer is also forced to confront basic justice/morality every time he records hours on a time sheet. According to Rynders, "justice" isn't limited to eradicating poverty in a third-world country or the inner-city -- it is related to our every day activities and occupations as well.
In his practice, Mr. Rynders has successfully prosecuted and defended a wide variety of business and commercial disputes, ERISA cases, employment cases, product liability and personal injury cases, health care fraud, and tax matters. He has conducted jury and bench trials in federal and state courts around the country, as well as contested matters before administrative tribunals and arbitrators and has resolved disputes as a facilitative mediator.
You must RSVP to attend this program, since there are a limited number of seats available. Contact Ellen Hekman to reserve your place.
