Prints and Circumstance: 17th Century Ceilings by Charles Le Brun

This exhibition addresses prints from Charles Le Brun's 17th century prints depicting painted ceilings at Versailles, Val-de-Grâce, and Sceaux. Prints and Circumstance is organized by Art History Professor Craig Hanson, with research and scholarship by Calvin University Art History students. The volume that inspired the scholarship and exhibition was recently gifted by a Calvin Alumni who also generously funded both conservation of the volume and the coinciding exhibition research and development.
