Wednesday Class, April 11, 18, 25 and May 2, 6:00-9:00pm

R.A.D. stands for Rape Aggression Defense. There's no experience needed to take a R.A.D. class, because a progressive building block format gives everyone the opportunity to learn the skills they want and need to learn.

The class is open to any woman who wants to learn basic physical defense.  Most women who enroll in the basic programs know very little about physical defense. Women who have previously entered a R.A.D. program as strangers to one another often depart as friends, with a high percentage leaving feeling empowered by the training they received.

The basic R.A.D. program is 12 hours in duration. The cost for the class is $30. A nice feature of the R.A.D. program is that once you have attended and passed a class, you can return to any class, presented anywhere at any time for the rest of your life free of charge.

Two classes are being offered in April. One class is being offered on Wednesday evenings, April 11, 18, 25, and May 2, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.  The other class is being offered on Saturday mornings, April 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 9:00am to 12:00pm.  Classes will be held in the Hoogenboom Center, room 280.  Class size is limited to 20 people.

Please note that to pass the course you must be in attendance for the entire time, each time the class meets. You can email any questions you have regarding the R.A.D. program to mailto:safety@calvin.edu.
