On Friday, May 4, 2012, Calvin College will host the Chick-Fil-A Leadercast, a one-day leadership event featuring world-renowned speakers addressing significant leadership issues.
Speakers for the event, which is themed "Develop Your Leadership Voice," include the following: best-selling author Andy Stanley, CNN anchor and special correspondent Soledad O'Brien, Fourteenth Chairman and joint chief of staff General Hugh Shelton and New York Jets quarterback and best-selling author Tim Tebow, to name a few.
The Leadercast is an endeavor of Calvin's Center for Innovation in Business (CCIB), which hosted the event for the first time last year. The center has three main goals: to foster educational excellence, promote experiential learning and engage with broader business communities.
"The Chick-Fil-A Leadercast offers us an opportunity to engage and serve the broader business community in west Michigan in a nationally recognized event that allows our students, faculty and staff to network with and learn alongside hundreds of business leaders," said Bob Eames, professor of business at Calvin and director of CCIB.
There are currently about 300 business professionals throughout west Michigan registered for the event.
