Paulo Ribeiro, a Calvin professor of engineering, is editor of a book on waveform distortions in power systems. "Time-Varying Waveform Distortions in Power Systems" brings together contributions from a variety of university professors and practicing power engineers and includes case studies as well as basic application examples.

As a final research project one of Ribeiro's students at Calvin helped co-author a chapter of the book, which will be used for an engineering graduate text.

The publisher of the book, Wiley InterScience Online, said the book will be valuable to engineers who work with power systems and also a useful source of information for researchers, consultants, university professors and graduate students.
