August 8, 2005 == MEDIA ADVISORY
The Petra: Lost City of Stone exhibition at Calvin College will end on
Monday, August 15, but before it vanishes again exhibition organizers have one
last trick up their sleeve.
On Saturday, August 13 they will celebrate the end of Petra with a huge Grande
Finale, an event that will include contemporary and folk Middle Eastern dances,
modern and ancient Middle Eastern instruments, a fashion show, a concert, a
drawing for two plane tickets and a week-long trip to Jordan, and even some
belly dancing!
For the entire schedule see

In addition to all the festivities, a free tour of the Petra: Lost City of
Stone exhibition is included in the ticket price of $15 for adults and $12 for
children.
A Middle Eastern meal of Kabobs, hummus, tabbouleh, baklava, and Arabic
coffee, catered by the Pita House and included in the ticket price, is
available all day.
The event is modeled after the Petra Family Festival in May which drew 800
people for an afternoon of fun and entertainment.
The Grande Finale promises to be even bigger and better.
