The upcoming Petra: Lost City of Stone exhibition at Calvin College has
secured a lead, local sponsor in Huntington Bank - West Michigan.

Jim Dunlap, the regional president of Huntington Bank - West Michigan, says
sponsoring the Petra exhibition is in keeping with the bank's committment to
partner with local organizations to help improve the quality of life in the
community.

"And," he adds, "the exhibition will be a wonderful opportunity for all of us
to learn more about the ancient culture of Jordan and the incredible
archaeologic finds that will be on display."

Huntington Bank - West Michigan has 70 offices on Michigan's "west coast,"
from Kalamazoo in the south all the way into northern Michigan.

"We operate as a local bank with national resources," says Dunlap "and become
deeply involved with the communities that we serve."

Calvin president Gaylen Byker is grateful for that local involvement.

"Putting on Petra," he says, "is a significant challenge for Calvin College.
It's one that we're up to, but we could not do it without local partnerships.
Having Huntington - West Michigan as a lead, local sponsor for Petra is very
gratifying. The exhibition is spectacular, and we're excited about its opening
in April."

Petra: Lost City of Stone first was conceived in 1994 by the Cincinnati Art
Museum, which joined forces with the American Museum of Natural History in New
York City in a decade-long effort to gather the 200 exceptional objects that
comprise the exhibit. Items on display will include stone sculptures and
reliefs, ceramics, metalwork, artworks in various media and other priceless
artifacts. All are on loan from collections in Jordan and throughout Europe,
and many are on display in the United States for the first time in history.

Organized by the American Museum of Natural History, New York, and the
Cincinnati Art Museum, and presented under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen
Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, Petra is the first major cultural collaboration
between Jordan and the United States. Air transportation generously provided by
Royal Jordanian.
