Calvin Announces New Board Members

    Calvin College has announced eight new members of its 31-member Board of
    Trustees. Each new trustee has been elected to a three-year term. Calvin's
    Board meets three times per year, generally on Calvin's campus, with sessions
    annually in October, February and May.

    The new members are:

    Joseph Brinks - pastor of Grace Christian Reformed Church in Kalamazoo
    Jim Haagsma - a former teacher and administrator at South Christian High
    School in Cutlerville, Mich.
    Gerald Hoek - pastor of Faith Christian Reformed Church in Nashville, Tenn.
    Bastian Knoppers - vice president and general manager of Metavante Corporation
    who lives in Oakbrook, Ill.
    Ronald Leistra - a former teacher of black and native American history at
    Portland Community College in Oregon
    Harry Lew - a chaplain and campus pastor for GRCC, Kendall, Davenport and
    other West Michigan colleges
    Martin Mudde - director of operations and human resources for Cemtech
    Division, the RAM Group, in Ottawa, Ont.
    Dirk Pruis - president and CEO of EquLend Holdings LLC in New York City
