MEN'S LACROSSE

Calvin College sophomore Noah Nedd has been named to the All-MIAA first team in men's lacrosse.

A native of Grand Rapids and a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School, Nedd is receiving All-MIAA first team accolades for the first time. As a freshman in 2016, he was named to the All-MIAA second team.
A short pole midfielder, Nedd was a two-way standout for the Knights this this year, impacting play both on offense and defense as an end-to-end player.

In conference action, Nedd corralled 27 ground balls, ranking eighth in the MIAA. In league games, he also scored three goals, collected two assists and recorded five points. In overall games, he scored 10 goals, garnered three assists, caused 17 turnovers and scooped up 75 ground balls.

"Noah is the guy that every coach wants on their team," said Calvin men's lacrosse coach Dave Hoger. "Not only is he a fantastic athlete but he is also a fantastic leader and young man. He gives everything he has to the team and is a true competitor. This award is well-deserved and I looking forward to coaching him for two more seasons."

Under the direction of Hoger, the Calvin men's lacrosse team recently finished 5-11 overall. The Knights finished the year on a winning note, defeating Kalamazoo 10-5 last Saturday.
