MORE WOMEN'S SOCCER

Kailey Jo has earned the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Award on Tuesday for matches through Nov. 1. This is the first time in her career that she has earned this honor.
"Kailey is very deserving of this honor," said head coach Mark Recker. "She has really sacrificed herself for the great good of the team, playing so many roles this season. Her flexibility has really helped lead us to the success that we have achieved so far this season."
Jo, a senior from Grand Rapids, Michigan, helped Calvin secure a spot in the MIAA Tournament with a 2-1 record. She helped anchor a defense that only allowed 1.00 goals against average, against some of the highest scoring offenses in the MIAA. Jo also tallied an assist against Alma and Olivet.
Jo and the Knights return to action on Thursday at the MIAA Tournament. The Knights will travel to Holland, Michigan, to play at 7:00 p.m. at Hope.
