Recent Calvin College graduate Jordan Daley has been named to the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM) Academic All-State Men's College Division Team.
The five-member BCAM Academic All-State team includes players from the NCAA Division I, II and III levels as well as players from NAIA institutions.
A native of Grand Rapids and a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School, Daley was graduated from Calvin last month. At Calvin he majored in psychology with minors in Spanish and kinesiology. During the 2015-16 season, he was named a first team CoSIDA Academic All-American.
A three-year starter, Daley led Calvin in scoring this year with an average of 18.3 points a game while finishing second on the team in rebounding at 6.0 boards per contest. He was later named to the All-MIAA first team.
During the season he became the 25th player in Calvin men's basketball history to hit the 1,000 point plateau. He now ranks 20th on the Calvin career list with 1,067 points.
Daley was an eight-time member of the Calvin Dean's List and a consistent member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. Last summer he was named to the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) Honors Court.
He is joined on the BCAM Academic All-State team by D.J. Beckman of Alma, Chris Fowler of Central Michigan, Max Hooper of Oakland University and Joe Remstad of Concordia University.
