Men's Golf Fifth at A.C. Eddy Invitational
MEN'S GOLF
ANGOLA, IN - The Calvin men's golf finished tied for fifth at the A.C. Eddy Invitational hosted by Trine University Thursday afternoon at the Zollner Golf Club.
The Knights posted a team score of 298 strokes and tied for fifth with St. Francis of Indiana.
Hope took first place with a team score of 282 followed by Madonna at 284, Bethel College (IN) at 286 and host Trine at 290.
Calvin was led by freshman Ben VanScoyk (Grand Rapids/Grand Rapids Christian HS) with a round of 70 that was good for a tie for fourth place individually.
Freshman John VanNoord (Troy/Oakland Christian HS) was next for Calvin with a round of 75 while freshman Drew Hendriksen (Grand Rapids/Grand Rapids Christian HS) had a 76, junior Jason Zeigler (Mount Gilead, OH/Gilead Christian HS) had a 77 and freshman Matt Lumbamtoruan had an 80.
Calvin returns to action on Friday and Saturday when it competes at the Augustana Invitational in Milan, Illinois.
