MEN'S BASKETBALL
Calvin has been selected as the preseason favorite to win the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's basketball championship in a poll of the league's coaches.
The Knights, who won the MIAA tournament last year and reached the round of 16 in the NCAA Division III tournament, received seven out of eight first-place votes in the coaches poll. Hope, which was picked second, received the other first-place vote.

and led the team in assists with 101. Senior center Dan Stout, senior forward T.J. Huizenga and sophomore guard Brad Visser are also expected to contribute heavily after seeing time off the bench in 2014.
