Calvin Women's Swimming and Diving Sending Five to NCAA III Championships
 
MEN'S BASKETBALL NCAA III TICKET INFORMATION FOR MARCH 9 GAME AT UW-STEVENS POINT
 
The Calvin men's basketball team will travel to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday for a second round NCAA III Tournament game slated to start at 8 p.m. (EST).
 
Ticket information for Calvin fans is as follows:
 
Tickets are currently on sale at the Stevens Point Dreyfus University Center at the University Information & Tickets office. To purchase tickets by phone, please contact 715-346-4100 (identify yourself as a Calvin fan when calling). Reserved seats are $8. Tickets will be placed at Will Call. An additional 400 general admission tickets ($6) available for Calvin fans will also be available at the door on Saturday.
 
WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING
 
The Calvin women's swimming and diving team will be sending five individuals to the upcoming NCAA III Championships March 20-23 in Shenandoah, Texas. Representing Calvin will be seniors Elizabeth Counsell, Rachel Colasurdo, Kristy Kinzer and Samantha Klaasen and freshman Michaela Rookus.
 
*Elizabeth Counsell (Indianapolis, IN/Heritage Christian HS) - Counsell will be making her fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA III Championships. She will compete in the 100 breaststroke where she is seeded seventh, the 200 breaststroke where she is seedeed 17th, and the 200 IM where she is seeded 38th. She will also swim on Calvin's 200 medley relay (seeded 15th), 400 medley relay (seeded 22nd), 200 freestyle relay (seeded 26th) and 400 freestyle relay (seeded 28th). In 2010, Counsell was 11th at the national meet in the 200 breaststroke. In 2011, she placed 16th in the 100 breaststroke and earned an All-America berth in the 200 breaststroke with a seventh place finish. Last year she competed in the 100 and 200 breaststroke events but did not advance to the evening finals.
 
*Rachel Colasurdo (Chesapeake, VA/Home Schooled) - Colasurdo will be making her first trip to the national meet. She will compete in Calvin's four relay teams.
 
*Kristy Kinzer (Fort Wayne, IN/Homestead HS) - Kinzer will be making her second trip to the national meet. She also competed as a freshman in 2010 and was part of a 200 medley relay team that placed 12th. She will compete in all four of Calvin's relay teams.
 
*Samantha Klaasen (Holland/Holland Christian HS) - Klaasen will be making her first trip to the national meet. She will compete on both the one and three-meter boards in diving. She was the NCAA III Central Region champion this past weekend on the one-meter board and the regional runner-up on the three-meter board.
 
*Rookus (Hudsonville/Hudsonville HS) - Rookus will compete in the 100 breaststroke where she is seeded 17th and the 200 IM where she is seeded 15th. She will also compete in all four of Calvin's relay teams.
