Men's and Women's Basketball MIAA Tournament Ticket Information;
The Story of the Undefeated - Calvin's 1960-61 Men's Basketball Team
MEN'S AND WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Calvin men's and women's basketball teams have both gained the top seeds
for their respective MIAA Tournaments this week. The Calvin women's basketball
team will host Trine University in the MIAA Tournament semifinals on Wednesday
at 7:30 p.m. while the Calvin men's basketball team will host Adrian College in
the MIAA Tournament semifinals on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The MIAA Tournament finals are scheduled for Saturday with the women's final
at 3 p.m. and the men's final at 7:30 p.m. If either Calvin team were to win
their MIAA Tournament semifinal game, Calvin would host the subsequent MIAA
Tournament final on Saturday.
Ticket information for the Calvin/Trine women's basketball game on Wednesday
is as follows:
Wednesday, February 20 Games, 7:30 pm - Doors open at 6:30 pm
General Admission tickets for Wednesday’s game will be on sale at Calvin’s
website (http://www.calvin.edu/boxoffice), and at the Box Office Monday through
Wednesday, February 18 - 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tickets will also be sold at the Arena starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Ticket Prices: General Admission tickets are FREE for MIAA students with
student ID. General Admission tickets are $3.00 for any college faculty/staff
and students, High School students and children, and $5.00 for all others.
There is no limit on the number of tickets to be purchased.
Ticket information for the Calvin/Adrian men's basketball game on Thursday is
as follows:
General Admission tickets for Thursday’s game will be on sale at Calvin’s
website (http://www.calvin.edu/boxoffice

), and at the Box Office Monday through Thursday, February 18 – 21, from 9:00
a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tickets will also be sold at the Arena starting at 6:30
p.m. on Thursday.
Ticket Prices: General Admission tickets are FREE for MIAA students with
student ID. They are $3.00 for any college faculty/staff and students, High
School students and children, and 5.00 for all others. Faculty and Staff may
purchase a maximum of 2 tickets per ID with a maximum of 2 ID’s at the MIAA
Faculty/Staff price of $3.00. Additional tickets may be purchased at the full
ticket price of $5.00. Calvin students may obtain 1 FREE ticket per student ID,
with a maximum of 2 student ID’s per person. There is no limit on the number of
tickets to be purchased.
MORE MEN'S BASKETBALL
This past Saturday, Calvin honored members of its 1960-61 men's basketball
team at halftime of its varsity men's basketball contest with Olivet. Calvin's
1960-61 team is the only team in Calvin men's basketball history to go
undefeated and was the first team to reach the 20-win plateau. The 1960-61
squad finished 20-0 including 12-0 in MIAA play.
