match 25-11, 20-25, 25-17, 21-25, 15-10.

In the match with Mount Union, senior Lizzie Kamp (Orland Park, IL/Chicago

(Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Christian HS) added 16 digs. Junior Megan Rietema
(Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Christian HS) dished out 42 assists.

The second match of the day proved to be a stiffer test for the Knights.
Calvin needed 30 combined kills from the Kamp sisters; 17 from Lizzie and 13
from Maggie (Orland Park, IL/Chicago Christian HS). Calvin hit a .282 clip
while holding Otterbein to .180. The Knights held a slim advantage in team
blocks, eight to seven.

“It was good for our team to play a tough match this early in the season,” head
coach Amber Warners commented. “It’s matches like these that get a team ready
for the conference season and beyond.”

For her efforts over the course of the weekend, Lizzie Kamp was named to the
all-tournament team.

The Knights return to action September 4th when they travel to Adrian College
to take on the Bulldogs in the MIAA opener for both teams.
