Women's Swimming and Diving Team Picks Up MIAA Dual Meet Win Over Saint Mary's

EAST GRAND RAPIDS -- The Calvin women's swimming and diving team got back on the winning track with a 131-99 victory over Saint Mary's Friday night at the East Grand Rapids Natatorium.

Heading into a showdown at rival Hope on Saturday, Calvin is 5-5 on the year in dual meet action.

Calvin's individual winners on Friday included:

*Senior Stephanie Duncan (Long Grove, IL) in the 1,000 freestyle (11:18.88)

*Freshman Lindsay Huizenga (Rockford HS) in the 200 freestyle (2:01.21)

*Sophomore Maggie Vail (Portage Northern HS) in the 50 freestyle (25.68)

*Freshman Caitlin Alexander (Holland Christian HS) in the 200 IM (2:20.98)

*Junior Erica Deur (Holland Christian HS) on the one-meter diving board (261.38)

*Junior Monica Passeno (Saginaw) in the 100 butterfly (1:08.04)

*Freshman Kendra Kinzer (Fort Wayne, IN) in the 100 freestyle (56.68)

*Sophomore Laura Price (Warren, PA) in the 100 backstroke (1:03.35)

*Sophomore Danielle Mitchell (Iron Mountain) in the 500 freestyle (5:31.23)
