WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Calvin women's basketball team has moved up one spot in the latest ESPN/USA
Today Division III Coaches' poll. The Knights are ranked second in this week's
poll with Bowdoin (ME) still holding down the top spot. Calvin was ranked third
in last week's poll. The ranking is the highest in Calvin women's basketball
history. In the most recent D3hoops.com Top-25 poll, Calvin is again ranked
third.

The Calvin women's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday when it
travels to Tri-State for a 6:00 p.m. contest.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Calvin-Hope men's basketball rivalry will be the featured subject of the
NCAA's new blog site tomorrow. The blog, known as the Double-A-Zone will
feature tidbits, interviews and other pieces of information about the rivalry
tomorrow. The blog is operated by the NCAA's Director of Technology Josh
Centor. Centor will be in Holland tomorrow for the Calvin-Hope men's basketball
game along with NCAA president Dr. Myles Brand.

MEN'S ICE HOCKEY
For the the fifth consecutive year, the Calvin men's club ice hockey team has
received a bid to the ACHA Division III National Tournament.
This year's national tournament is scheduled to be held February 28-to-March 3
at the McMillen Ice Arena in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Calvin hockey team is currently 10-9-0 on the year. A year ago, Calvin took
third at the ACHA Division III Tournament. In 2004, Calvin captured the
national title.
A fundraiser to help defray travel and lodging costs for the tournament will be
held on Monday night when the entire hockey team will work at Russ' East
Restaurant in Kentwood. Members of the hockey team will be serving and bussing
tables in the back section from 4:30-7:00 p.m.
Fans and supporters of the Calvin hockey team are encouraged to make a trip out
to Russ' East on Monday night.
