MIAA SWIMMING AND DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS DAY TWO REPORT (Prelims)
A change has been made in the team scoring through one day of finals at the
MIAA Swimming and Diving Championships. In the team scores released Thursday
night, the point totals from the consolation finishes (places 7-through-12)
were not included from the men's one-meter diving and the women's
three-meter diving competitions.
The consolation points have since been added the new point totals/team
standings are reflected below.

In Friday's prelims, Calvin freshman Rebekah Weima of Grand Rapids Christian
High School shattered her second school and MIAA record in as many days as she
clocked in with an NCAA A' cut qualifying time of 1:50.94, shattering her own
school record of 1:51.99 and the MIAA record of 1:54.90 set by Calvin's Katie
Nagelkirk at the 2003 MIAA Championships. Weima's time is believed to be the
fastest time in NCAA III women's swimming and diving this year. On Thursday,
Weima shattered the Calvin and MIAA record in the 50 freestyle with a time of
23.79 in the morning prelims.
Friday's championship finals are set to begin at 6:00 p.m. this evening.
