ADRIAN * Calvin extended its losing streak to four straight at the hands of Sienna Heights University in a 5-1 game this evening. The Knights fall to 5-11 on the season and 2-2 on the road.

The Knights drew first blood in the top of the third when junior Terry O'Neal (Reeths-Puffer) touched home, but Sienna Heights quickly grabbed the equalizer in the bottom of the third. Sienna scored one run in each of the fifth through eighth innings while holding Calvin to only two hits in the game. Calvin had base runners in bounty though, as a result of six Sienna Heights errors.

Freshman Jory Trim (Creston) drew the start and fell to 1-2 on the year in six innings before being relieved by freshman Chris Hinkley (Oak Hill). Trim gave up seven hits, three runs, and struck out two. Hinkley pitched the seventh inning and gave up two hits and one run. Ryan Smith, a freshman from Madison, AL, pitched the eighth inning and gave up one run on three hits. None of the Calvin pitchers gave up a walk through the game.

Sienna Heights was aided by Adam LeFeve who pitched eight innings and only gave up one run on two hits while walking five and striking out four.

Calvin will be back in action this Saturday, April 11th, when they host the Spring Arbor Cougars in a doubleheader starting at 1:00.
