SPAN-366 Span Lit- Mid Ages Thru Renais
An introduction to the world of Medieval Spain through its literature. Students explore the ways in which this literature reflects the social and political interactions between the Christians, the Muslims and the Jews that inhabited the Iberian Peninsula during this period of Spanish history. Through a close reading of several works, the values and morals that shaped medieval society are examined. Daily homework, an oral presentation and a research paper are required. Prerequisite: Spanish 308 and 309, or permission of the instructor.
