This Year's Schedule
Academics / Departments & Programs / Pre-Law / Events / This Year's Schedule
During regular academic years at Calvin, the Pre-Law Program hosts a large number of events and activities designed to help you prepare for a law career. We expect that 2020-21 will likely not be a regular year, given ongoing concerns about the pandemic, and so we are currently examining what our options will be in continuing to provide valuable services and information for students in spite of restrictions. We will update our website and this event information as soon as we are able to make decisions and confirm plans.
We can tell you that we hope to have a two-pronged approach that will continue our dedication to provide useful information and opportunities to help Calvin students assess their interest in a potential legal career through two generally focused programs:
Career Exploration Opportunities
- Virtual Pre-Law Career sessions with various alumni attorneys
- Individual "coffee" sessions with alumni attorneys
- Access to Calvin's Pre-Law Advisor
- Pre-Law Library Materials and Readings
Law School Preparation Opportunities
- LSAT Preparation Support
- Virtual Pre-Law Workshops
Thank you for your patience as we finalize details about these 2020-21 academic year plans. The calendar below will be updated as we are able to schedule events. In the meantime, we invite you to explore the kinds of events we normally sponsor by examining last year's (2019-20) schedule of events included below. Please also check the regular events page for information about online opportunities through affiliated organizations and law schools.
