Common Good Coalition
Bring renewal into every corner of society
A new opportunity for students who join Calvin in the fall of 2023.
In a hyper-partisan world, is it possible to work together toward the common good—or even agree what the common good is?It is possible. But it takes people with commitment and conviction to lead the way. People like you.
As a member of the Common Good Coalition, you'll actively contribute to a better society well before you graduate from college. You'll research, listen, and act alongside your professors, peers, and community members, grounded in the Christian commitments to love God and neighbor. You'll get involved in real-world projects right here in Calvin's neighborhood. You'll even have opportunities to expand your learning and impact on off-campus spring break trips. On those trips, you'll see firsthand what obstacles stand in the way of healthier societies—and how community members are working to overcome them.
It's hard work, but it's good work. Do that work in the like-passioned cohort of the Common Good Collaborative as you grow into an agent of renewal in your communities.
Students who start at Calvin in the Fall 2023 semester may apply to join this cohort. Applications to join the Common Good Coalition will be open until December 15, 2022.
