Degree Overview

A Chinese language degree from Calvin empowers you to engage with over one-fifth of the world's population.

In Calvin's robust Chinese language program, you'll build a mastery of Chinese language that will serve you well in any career, from education to business to international relations. In the only program of its kind at a Christian university, you'll learn in classes taught by expert faculty, polish your language skills in conversation groups, and even take your learning abroad for a month or semester in China.

Your Chinese major or minor will unlock incredible opportunities in any career that connects to the diverse people of modern China.

Program Distinctives

Grounded in faith - Every course and experience you encounter in the Chinese program is built on a foundation of Christian faith. Your professors want to see you thrive personally and academically.
