Here's a simple checklist of items that you'll need to complete before or upon your arrival on campus.

All students: We strongly recommend that all students complete all of the following items to order books, register a bike or car, or change your directory settings.

Off-campus students: Students who live off campus must complete Item 9 (below) by September 16. Failure to do so will result in a late fee.

Items in red are highly recommended to help ensure your safety on campus.

Missing persons confidential contact information

Identify a person or persons Calvin may contact on your behalf if it has been determined that you have been reported missing. The confidential contact information will be accessible only to the Campus Safety Director, Assistant Director, Dispatch Manager or Department Assistant and will not be disclosed outside of a missing person investigation.

ITEM 4

Read/review the Student Handbook and Conduct Code

These documents list some college policies, guidelines and your responsibilities and privileges as a Calvin student. It is your responsibility to understand the contents of each and to abide by the rules and regulations described. These documents are dynamic and some information may change periodically as departments and programs update their policies. While the information contained within is unlikely to change much, the College reserves the right to make modifications or changes as it deems necessary and appropriate. Any such changes will be brought to your attention.

ITEM 5

Register a vehicle

All motor vehicles (automobiles, motorcycles and motorized scooters) must be registered with the Campus Safety office immediately upon bringing the vehicle to campus. Vehicles must be registered/re-registered for each new academic year.

Register a bike

All bicycles used on campus must be registered with the Campus Safety office. Bike registrations are valid for the entire time you are at Calvin. You do not need to re-register if you have a permit already.

Calvin directory settings

Change the way your information will display in the printed directory and in the people search on Calvin's website. You can choose which items will display, how your name appears, and who can view your information when they use the people search.

REQUIRED FOR OFF-CAMPUS STUDENTS

ITEM 9

Update or confirm local address

If you are living off campus, please include the start and end dates for the duration (if you know it) that you will be living at your off-campus address. If you are living at home during the school year, enter your home address as a new local address.

Also, confirm that you are in compliance with local housing rules and regulations. If you are not in compliance, acknowledge that you are not and specify a reason.

Deadline to confirm your address is Sept. 16.
