Calvin College again has a strong representation in ArtPrize—a radically open, independently organized international art competition in downtown Grand Rapids, Mich. Founded by Calvin alumnus Rick DeVos, the annual competition kicked off on Wednesday, September 24 and runs through Tuesday, October 12, 2014.

Dozens of Calvin alumni, students, faculty and staff have entered works of art that are on display all around and on the streets of downtown Grand Rapids. View a list of what they’ve created and where they’re displaying.

And Calvin's downtown (106) Gallery is an ArtPrize venue. The space features REFLEXION, an exhibition of nine ArtPrize artists who, through their artwork, faithfully explore ways in which their art and process relate to reflexion—a bending back.
