Pre-note: Currently Pending

A musical prelude to our keynote lecture.

Currently Pending are Micah Phua, on drums, and Joe Bae, on everything else (but mostly keys). They met during their first year at Calvin College, and bonded over music from the onset. The main inspirations for their work as Currently Pending are artists that fuse electronic music with R&B elements, like Gallant, Anderson .Paak, and Nujabes. As part of the Pop Music Guild, they are eager to grow within the small music community at school and use their time at the Guild as a springboard to practice and collaborate with other artists, and get their own work on the radars of other like-minded individuals outside of the college.
