Wilderness Orientation: Red River Gorge Rock Climbing

The "Red" is the most famous rock climbing area in the Eastern United States. Students will rock climb and camp at Natural Bridges State Park. This course is tailored to beginners and experienced climbers alike and provides instruction on climbing technique.

Day 2—Depart for the Red River Gorge; Set up Camp in Natural Bridge State Park
Day 3—Climb North Gorge
Day 4—Climb Middle Gorge
Day 5—Hike and Rappel North Gorge
Day 6—Muir Valley Climbing Day
Day 7—Muir Valley Trail Building Service Project and Climb—Miguel’s Pizza and Ice Cream
Day 8—Return to Calvin College by 7:00 p.m.
