Wilderness Orientation: Base Camp Adventure

Camp Ao-Wa-Kiya is a Christian camp located on Stony Lake in Shelby, Michigan. This trip is designed for students who want to experience adventure and meet new friends, but prefer staying at camp for the week. Students will take on the high ropes course, go tubing, swim, play a lot of recreational games and experience a sunrise service on the beach.

Itinerary

August 7 – Trip Orientation at 6PM at Calvin College, depart 7pm
August 8 – Teambuilding, high ropes and waterfront
August 9 – Canoe Trip
August 10 – Silver Lake – dune buggies, archery
August 11 – Waterfront and solo beach day
August 12 – Sailing and horseback riding – return to Calvin 4:30pm
