Sarah Pulliam Bailey will be moderating this discussion between Burns Strider and Michael Wear as they consider faith and the Democratic Party and progressive politics.

Washington Post journalist Sarah Pulliam Bailey covers the intersection of faith and politics. She has worked with Religion News Service and Christianity Today and has freelanced for the Wall Street Journal, CNN, The Atlantic, the Chicago Sun-Times and more. Pulliam also runs Acts of Faith, a subset of the Washington Post that focuses on various topics related to religion.

Co-panelist Burns Strider is the co-founder and principal at the Eleison Group, as well as co-founder and President of the American Values Network, and former Senior Advisor and Director of Faith and Values Outreach to Hillary Clinton during her 2008 presidential campaign. He is considered a "faith guru" for the Democratic Party and, according to Religion News Service, is one of the 12 most influential Democrats in the nation on faith and values.

The third panelist, Michael Wear, is founder of Public Square Strategies LLC and former director of faith outreach for President Obama's 2012 presidential campaign. His most recent book, Reclaiming Hope: Lessons Learned in the Obama White House About the Future of Faith in America" was published in January, and he writes for The Atlantic, Christianity Today, USA Today, Relevant magazine and other publications on faith and politics.
