Job Description

The Business Department at Calvin College invites applications for part-time instruction in the area of business law to teach one section of BUS 350 Law in Business, a required course for undergraduate accounting majors and an elective course for undergraduate business majors.  The appointment will be for the fall semester, beginning September 5, 2017.  Evening or daytime classes are possible.

Required Experience

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required and five or more years of relevant experience practicing business law is preferred.   Applicants should demonstrate the ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods and instructional technology as required.

Business Department Adjunct Graduate Instructor of Advanced Topics in Tax & Law

Job Description

The Business Department at Calvin College invites applications for part-time instruction in the areas of tax and law to teach one section of ACCT 508 Advanced Topics in Tax & Law, a required course for the Master of Accounting degree.  This course builds on introductory tax and business law courses and covers select topics encountered by individuals, corporations, partnerships, non-profits, and trusts. The course includes primary research of relevant codes, regulations and cases in developing analyses and evaluations.

The appointment will be for the spring semester, beginning January 29, 2018.  Evening or daytime classes are possible.
